Spinach teeth experiment
Question: What does eating spinach do to our teeth?

Protect Your teeth from cavities.
What do the leaves feel like?
Its squishy.
What do you think spinach tastes like?
Not yummy.


Run your tongue along your teeth. Place your finger on your front tooth and rub it back and forth.
What did your teeth feel like?
Dirty and rough.
Do they make a noise when you rub them with your finger?
yes


  1. Place the spinach in your mouth and chew it for at least 10 seconds, making sure you use all your teeth. Then swallow it.
  2. Now run your tongue along your teeth. Place your finger on your front tooth and rub it.
What happened? Do your teeth feel different?

The smooth squeak feeling is caused by a high oxaloacetic acid concentration. The minerals in the spinach actually forms crystals on your teeth which is what you can feel when you run your tongue along your teeth .foods that have this are good for sensitive teeth. Spinach is a vegetable. It is a superfood be cause it is rich in nutrients and antioxidants. Antioxidants are the good guys in our bodies. They help us from getting sick.
